Teacher Training Program

Teachers are one of the primary agents of social change. Students spend the majority of their lifetime at school. Whatever they learn from their teachers, they take it with them forever.

Our Teacher Training project focuses on training Syrian refugee teachers in Turkey with contemporary teaching methodologies rooted in student-centred learning. Some of the topics we train our teachers with are:

• Task-based and project-based learning
• Classroom management
• Paulo Freire's Critical Pedagogy
• intelligence
• Critical thinking
• Learner differences (for eg. dyslexia and dysgraphia)
• Lesson planning
